| Can't believe Averee is 9! Holy cow-where does the time go? Well, in our family the kids get a friend birthday party on the even years and a family party on the odd years. Since it is an odd year for Averee she decided she wanted us to go to Laser Mania then Menchies for her birthday. YUM! |

| She got an iPod...she has wanted one for so long & couldn't believe she FINALLY got one :) She is such a good girl & we are so lucky to have her in our family. She is a wonderful big sister & such a big help to me. She is so tenderhearted and sweet. We love you birthday girl!! |

| Here is the cute birthday shelf I am doing for everyone's birthday. I made the balloon wreath with some friends, then I made a bunting banner to match ( I laminated it so hopefully it will last all year-I love my laminator!). I also got a cute idea from Pinterest-it is subway art with all the stats from their birthday. I made one for each kid & they turned out so cute! |

Owen is 5 already! I know I always say this but seriously? Where does the time go? Owen has grown up so much lately-is loves to wrestle with Dad, play the wii, or play with his friends. He loves to tell knock-knock jokes that he makes up. We don't always understand them but he sure thinks they are funny! He wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting & with M&M's on top. Delish!
Our cousins came over to celebrate with us. Here is Brecken with Reese, she always just licks the frosting off!
Each year for the kids birthdays they get to sleep over at Grandma V's house. Grandma & Grandpa take them out to eat & do whatever else they want! Owen wanted to go to McDonalds & then play the wii. Grandpa also helped Owen put his new Lego's together. What a lucky boy!
Adelyn had her birthday party at Pirate Island Pizza this year. She invited all the girls from her school class & ward. 15 girls came to the party! What a crew :0) They had a blast playing in the arcade, eating pizza, & cupcakes. Adee has some darling little friends & it was fun to meet them!

Averee had her birthday party at the Sand Hollow Aquatic Center this year. We let her invite all the girls from her school class & ward. 17 girls came!! It was quite a fun bunch-the girls had a blast. It was fun to meet all the girls from Averee's school class that she talks about all the time. What a cute group of girls :0)

Owen is so funny-he says such funny little one liners: 'Whoa dude-that was awesome!', 'What the?', 'Don't you know, silly Mommy!', just to name a few :0)
Owen had his first friend party this year-so cute! Of course he wanted a Spider-man theme, and with a summer birthday we just HAD to play in the water! We filled up the pool & got out the slip n' slide. The boys had a ball! I think the popsicles were the highlight of the party :0)
We love you so much Owen & we are so glad you are part of our family. You are fun to wrestle & play with & really great at sharing with your sisters. Love you Ojo!
Reese is 1! It seems like only yesterday that she was born. She is such a happy little girl-always smiling & flirting with everyone! She is quite a ham too-she loves to show-off & make people laugh. She is sort of walking-any day now I sure she will just start running all over the place. She is getting 4 molars right now which will make 12 teeth all together! Crazy! She has gotten more teeth, & faster, than any of our other kids. She is in that lovely 'dump everything out' stage. She loves to empty drawers, shelves, baskets, cupboards-whatever she can get into! But how can you get mad at such a cute little toot?!
She is such a Daddy's girl & I love it! She is the first of our babies to prefer Danny & it has been a nice break. If he is around then she pretty much wants nothing to do with me. Whenever he leaves I have to pry her off of him & then she just cries & cries. So cute! Reese is such a cuddle bug-she gives the best loves. She likes to snuggle right in under your chin & just lays there. Sometimes she will pat my back when I am patting hers-such a funny girl!
To celebrate her big day we had all our family over for a BBQ then cake & ice cream. I got a little daring & made a cake that looked like a birthday candle. It turned out pretty good. Danny actually did most of it except for the detailed decorating part. We love the show 'Cake Boss' on TLC & it has inspired Danny to be more hands on with the baking. We did a white cake with raspberry filling & cream cheese frosting-so delish!

Well, another birthday has come & gone, but at least I don't FEEL any older right? When Danny asked what I wanted for my birthday I said that I wanted to go to Zions & hike Angels Landing, then go to dinner & a movie. He agreed & we had a great day.
We ate lunch at a cute little place in Springdale & the weather was perfect. Then we headed out on the hike. Let me just preface with the fact that it has been about 15 years (and 4 kids) since I have done Angels Landing & it was a lot harder than I remembered! I wanted to give up & turn back several times but Danny kept me going & it was totally worth it! The view was amazing & I had such an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. It literally felt like we were on top of the world. But the best part was so much uninterrupted time with my main squeeze ;0)
We rushed home to shower & change then met some friends at the Anasazi Steakhouse-YUM! Since we had some time to kill before the movie, we went and grabbed some Krave-double YUM! Then we went and saw Robin Hood. It was a pretty good flick-Russell Crowe is always amazing. I still like the Kevin Costner Robin Hood too, they are very different versions of the Robin Hood story, so it is kinda hard to compare them. Anyway- it was an awesome day-best birthday in a LONG time. Thanks Hot Stuff for a great birthday!
Can't believe this cute little fart is 5! Adelyn is such a fun & sassy girl. She always makes us laugh & keeps up thoroughly entertained :0)
Make a Wish!
We are so blessed to have this sweet little girl in our family. She is such a joy & brings so much laughter & fun to our family. She loves to dance & shake her booty, she can't wait for Kindergarten, & she loves to play with Averee & Owen. She is a great sister & loves to take care of Reese. :0) We love you tons Adee Patty!

Now the best part- he made his own birthday cake! For days I kept asking what kind of cake he wanted & he wouldn't really say. Meanwhile we have been loving the show 'Cake Boss', if you have never seen it you should really check it out. They make awesome cakes & deal with some hilarious family drama at the same time. Anyway- Danny decides to get all creative & make his own cake. He did a red velvet cake with strawberry filling, vanilla frosting & white chocolate chips on top. It was SO yummy! I was seriously impressed :0) But I did feel a little bad that he made his own cake-oh well, he seemed to enjoy being the Cake Boss for a day!
