Owen had mentioned to us a few times that his tooth felt loose, but we didn't realize HOW loose it was. Danny barely touched it & out it popped! Owen didn't even cry or anything-I was so surprised! He was so brave & super excited for the Tooth Fairy to FINALLY visit him instead of his older sisters!
At our house, we put the lost tooth in a glass of water by the bed. This way the Tooth Fairy has to dip down in the water to get the tooth & leave the money (4 quarters). In the morning the water is colored & has fairy dust in it! So fun!

'Whatever we get soon seems a natural right, not a gift. And we forget the Giver. Then our gaze shifts from what we have been given to what we don't have yet'...unknown

Happy Easter to you!
Every year we go to the park for a picnic lunch on Easter Saturday. The Easter Bunny comes to our house on Saturday, we asked him to do that so that we could focus on the Savior on Easter Sunday. This is a tradition that I grew up with & we just love keeping the Easter Bunny & the Resurrection of our Savior separate.
We had a delish lunch of ham, potatoes, fruit & a yummy cake. Thanks Grandma V!
You are never too old for swings...right? Alesha & Kyle

Easter Eggs
Gotta love decorating Easter Eggs! I decided to try something a little different this year...thanks to Pinterest. However, our eggs didn't turn out quite like the professional looking ones on Pinterest :) But the kiddos had a great time making a mess-I mean decorating their eggs with glue & glitter.
Reese LOVED the pink glitter the best
Averee & Adee are getting so creative & artistic
Owen is a good sport...Aunt Alesha's eggs were gorgeous!
Look at those BEAUTIFUL eggs!!

Shamrock Treasure Hunt FHE
With St. Patrick's Day coming this Saturday I thought we would do a little FHE on treasure. So tonite for FHE we talked about 'Treasure in Heaven'. We read and discussed Matthew 6:19-21. I explained to the kids about different kinds of treasure, the treasure that stays here on earth and what treasure we can take with us to heaven. They seemed to really grasp what I was getting at...especially when Owen said that Taytam was our treasure in heaven. It just melts my heart. How cute is that?! Sometimes he can be so sweet...other times? Well, anyway...it was a cute moment with Owen. :)
After the lesson, we did a Shamrock Treasure Hunt. I had written the clues on paper shamrocks & the kids loved reading the clues then running all over the house to find the next one. Reese was just happy to tag along. The final clue took them to the deep, dark coat closet...they were excited to find a green glow coming from the back of the closet. They each had a little green basket with a green glow stick, St. Patrick's Day shirt, leprechaun antennae & a handful of treats. They were so excited!

Lucky Bingo FHE
Don't you just love holidays..especially with kids! They make everything more fun :) With each passing year we get more & more into celebrating St. Patrick's Day. It's just such a fun holiday!
One of our family goals for the year is to learn more about other countries. So, for the FHE lesson tonite we learned all about Ireland. How fitting with St. Patrick's Day just around the corner! The kids were most surprised to learn that they speak English in Ireland :) They were glad it was closer to us on the globe than China. We learned about China in January & the kiddos thought it was sad that China was so far away that we could probably never visit. :) So, I guess they expect to go to Ireland now? Anyway, after the lesson we played our annual game of Lucky Bingo. I already had a St. Patrick's Day Bingo set but found an even cuter one on Pinterest:

After the game we had this cute little treat that I also found on Pinterest:

I just put ours in plastic cups...but they turned out so cute & the kids loved it! They had their own little pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. What a fun FHE. Gotta love Pinterest!
