We are making progress! This time around at Reese's Dance Recital she actually put on some of the costumes & walked around in a circle :) She didn't really dance, but it's still progress! Last time she sat on my lap for the whole thing. She is such a performer at home-she loves to dance & sing for us. She just gets a little nervous with a room full of strangers- go figure?!
Reese & Daddy enjoying their little picnic after the recital. She is such a Daddy's girl & she has him wrapped around her little finger! Love you Reesie Roo!

Potty Trained- woo hoo!
Even though I have known that Reese has been ready to potty train for awhile, I just wasn't up to the challenge. But actually it wasn't that bad. I started on Thursday & by Sunday she is pretty much done! It started out kinda rough though. Thursday, she never did go in the potty. SO frustrating! Friday, she was half in the potty & half accidents on the floor. That was expected. But by Saturday, she only had one accident & she even pooped in the toilet! On Sunday she had an accident, but it was my fault. She told me she needed to go, but I put it off cuz we were in the middle of making cookies. Then sure enough, she peed all over the chair she was standing on to help with the cookies. It was cute though cuz she kept saying 'sar-wee mommy'. I told her it was fine & it was my fault, but she was pretty upset about it. She has done so so good! She will still wear a diaper at night for a few more months, but I couldn't be happier that she is basically potty trained! WOO HOO!!

First Hair Cut
Reese got her first hair cut & she wasn't too sure about this! She was pretty nervous, so I had to hold her on my lap while the beautician trimmed her ends & tried to even all the curls out. Her hair is still soo curly-which I love-but it gets too snarly & tangled. Each morning she wakes up with a rat's nest on the back of her head! I am hoping that a little trim will help it be more manageable. Fingers crossed!

What a cute little fart. We love you Reesie-Roo!

BOO to you!
One of the best things about this time of year is all the fun activites & festivites that go on...

Our costumes were pretty fun this year too...what do you think? It was hilarious to see everyone's different reactions to our 'announcement'
The costumes: This year Averee was a Devil, Adelyn was an Angel (although usually those roles are reversed!), Owen was Mario, and Reese was a LadyBug. So cute!
Our costumes were pretty fun this year too...what do you think? It was hilarious to see everyone's different reactions to our 'announcement'The Parties: I love parties! I love planning them, going to them, thinking about them-all of it! We have a couples costume party every year & I look forward to it SO much! Plus, there are always a few family parties and such to attend...
Todd and Michelle threw a great family party this year complete with apple bobbing & Mummy Wrap-up!
The Halls...what a cute senior missionary couple huh? Good thing they came cuz there were some shady characters at the couples party that needed a good missionary discussion or two!
We all had a blast at the couples party this year...we played 'Minute to Win it' style games & it was pretty hilarious!

And of course, no Halloween would be com, plete until we decorate our annual 'Haunted Houses' and carve pumpkins...

Until next year...BOO!!!

Reese is 1!
Reese is 1! It seems like only yesterday that she was born. She is such a happy little girl-always smiling & flirting with everyone! She is quite a ham too-she loves to show-off & make people laugh. She is sort of walking-any day now I sure she will just start running all over the place. She is getting 4 molars right now which will make 12 teeth all together! Crazy! She has gotten more teeth, & faster, than any of our other kids. She is in that lovely 'dump everything out' stage. She loves to empty drawers, shelves, baskets, cupboards-whatever she can get into! But how can you get mad at such a cute little toot?!
She is such a Daddy's girl & I love it! She is the first of our babies to prefer Danny & it has been a nice break. If he is around then she pretty much wants nothing to do with me. Whenever he leaves I have to pry her off of him & then she just cries & cries. So cute! Reese is such a cuddle bug-she gives the best loves. She likes to snuggle right in under your chin & just lays there. Sometimes she will pat my back when I am patting hers-such a funny girl!
To celebrate her big day we had all our family over for a BBQ then cake & ice cream. I got a little daring & made a cake that looked like a birthday candle. It turned out pretty good. Danny actually did most of it except for the detailed decorating part. We love the show 'Cake Boss' on TLC & it has inspired Danny to be more hands on with the baking. We did a white cake with raspberry filling & cream cheese frosting-so delish!
We just love our little Reesie Roo! Happy Birthday!

A Yummy First
So, it's official: Reese loves licorice! She had her first piece today & enjoyed it immensely-as you can tell from her face :0) Not sure if she got more on her face or in her mouth? She will get plenty of licorice in her lifetime cuz Grandma V & Papa always bring the kids a piece of licorice when they come over...the kids pretty much expect it now, so Grandma & Grandpa keep a stash in their car. What a fun Grandma & Grandpa!
