So Thankful...

Well, with the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, I thought I would take a minute & reflect on a few of my many blessings...
1-My Husband! He is such a wonderful man, husband, provider, protector, & father. I feel so blessed that we can be together forever. He is so good to me & so good for me. We just seem to balance each other out. He is a little more serious & practical than I tend to be (thank goodness!) He can always make me smile & the kids adore him! I love him so much & don't know what I would do without him...
2-I am a Mother! What a blessing & what an adventure! Where would I be without my three adorable kids? I love them so much. My family is everything-my joy, my sorrow, greatest achievements, worst failures, biggest smile, & some very important lessons learned. I am so proud to be their mother & I love every minute of it. (Except maybe the poopie diapers) :0)
3-Friends & Family. We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful friends & family around us. You are all so good to us & such amazing examples. I love & look up to each of you. Thank you...
4-Health. We have been pretty blessed in the health department. We have had our share of "medical experiences"-but never anything too serious. Even our family & friends have been pretty healthy for the most part. Someone has been watching out for us...
5-Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am very thankful that I have a testimony of this restored gospel, of my Saviour Jesus Christ, & of his plan of salvation. What a blessing to know & be able to live what I know. I know I could do better-I still have a lot to learn. I have never really questioned or gone too far of track-but the lessons I have learned will stay with me forever. I am so thankful for a Saviour that loves me so much-he died for me. What an amazing blessing. I only pray that I can strive to live worthy of this blessing & do better everyday...
What a wonderful life! I am so thankful for all that I have been blessed with, including you. If you are reading this then you are someone close to me, a friend or loved one (probably both!)Thank you for all you are. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Adam's Toe Squishes?

Okay, so yesterday our ward's sacrament meeting was the primary program...talk about hilarious! Between a little girl banging on the piano (not once, but twice!) & a kid yelling into the microphone I thought I was going to pee my pants! But the funniest thing I have heard in awhile was when a little boy was reciting one of the articles of faith-the one that says "men will be punished for their own sins & not for Adams transgressions", well the little boy said "men will be punished for their new skins & not for Adams toe squishes". I seriously peed my pants a little! It was hilarious & the whole congregation was laughing. His poor parents! Anyway, hope that puts a smile on your face! :0)

One HOT Mama!

Okay, so any of you that have known me for very long, know that my hair has pretty much been the same since high school. I have had a few changes here & there-but for the most part it has always been long & straight. Well, I had been thinking lately that I needed a change-a BIG one! But I couldn't decide what to do...then I saw a special hair episode of Oprah & realized that was it! I needed to go short! Luckily, one of my best friends is a beautician extraordinaire & she hooked me up! I think she was more nervous than I was to cut that much hair! I love you Christan! I was a little bummed that since I have highlights I couldn't donate all that hair to Locks of Love-but oh well. It's the thought that counts, right? Anyway, I am so happy with the results-I look like one HOT mama! Now I am just wondering why I didn't do it sooner? Danny was super supportive, he has always said to do what I want as long as I don't cut it short like a boy. Plus, he thought it was fun to go to bed with a "stranger" last nite- he he he! :0)

Halloween-better late than never...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year! I love the smells, the colors, the cooler weather, the warmer clothes, & of course the holidays! This is a little late, but here are some Halloween pics... Here are the girls carving pumpkins. Averee was pretty hesistant to get all goopy with the pumpkin guts-but not Adee! Adelyn was totally into it. She had her pumpkin cleaned out before I even had a chance to help her. I finally talked Averee into touching the guts-she decided it wasn't too bad & helped clean out her pumpkin.
This is the best picture I could get of all the kids together & in costume. Averee was Cinderella, Adelyn was Snow White & Owen was supposed to be a Seven Dwarf-but he looked more like a Christmas Elf! he he he! It was a great day...we met some of the cousins at Grandma Sandys around 4, then we came home to have dinner with Grandma V & Papa. Then we headed over to our wards Trunk or Treat. Adelyn was hilarious-she wouldn't keep the wig on & wouldn't stop Trick or Treating! I think she went to every car like 3 times! She really got into the spirit! Averee was just excited to see how many other princesses there were, & Owen enjoyed all the suckers people kept handing him. Now we just need to get rid of all the candy!

It's official...

What took me so long to jump on the band wagon & start a blog? I thought I didn't have time-but this was so easy & fast! Surprise! I am even doing this with Owen's "help". Plus, I started thinking about all our loved ones that live far away & how much I want (& need) to keep in touch with them. Not to mention all the loved ones that live close but I still don't see very often-which is sad! Anyway-here is to staying in touch with all of you! So, I guess I have offically become a blogger...YIKES!
