The last couple weeks during FHE we have been working on memorizing the Latter-Day Prophets in order. Ya know: Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, etc. Anyway, last nite after Averee says the opening prayer, Owen starts pointing to the pictures of the prophets & saying "Bun-un Ung-Ung". We just all kinda laughed & thought he was being silly. But he kept pointing at the pictures & saying the same thing over & over. Finally I realize he is pointing right at Brigham Young & trying to say his name "Bun-un Ung-Ung"! I couldn't believe it! Danny & I just looked at each other & started laughing. I couldn't believe that Owen had actually been paying enough attention to remember one of their names. Remarkable! I just figured we were doing things like that & the Articles of Faith for Averee & Adee's benefit-boy was I wrong! Owen was so proud when we finally realized what he was saying all along-like 'DUH mom! I know what I am saying!' :0)
So take heart- even though FHE can seem like a losing battle sometimes- keep it up! It does make a difference!
